A story, NO, a miracle, YES! It is impossible to capture the work of the Sarva Dharma Ashram in words; in fact words are limited in comparison to a real life experience at the Ashram. The Sarva Dharma Ashram is a perfect example of Service to Society; a beacon of Love & Hope in a struggling society, the perfect partnership of Gods Grace & mans determined selfless spirit to serve. Some may call this religion, others refer to this as spirituality, and amongst non believers it is known as charity. Call it what you may, it is in fact the home of all the above put together; it is the Home of Love, Compassion & Sacrifice.
With the vision & selfless attitude of ‘Love to Serve & Serve with Love’, the Ashram now offers to the local community:
- a feeding scheme which started with around 120 people, and now feeds about 3580 people a week
- a clothing scheme, collecting and distributing clothes to the needy
- a primary health care clinic, providing medical care and medication
- computer classes in a fully equipped computer room
- a library
- basic literacy classes
- arts and crafts workshops
- training job seekers in various trades
- basic money management as means to earn a living
